The Galaxy Series is comprised of silk paper collages that combine hand-made silk paper, free motion quilting and three dimensional composition. These works combine luminous colors and textures to stimulate the imagination of the beholder with unusual materials combined in exciting ways.
To create these works, Clara began by making silk paper from un-spun silk fiber. As each layer of fiber is laid down, Clara builds in depth and visual texture.
